Keep a jar of this Herbed Lavender Salt on hand to liven up a multitude of dishes, it’s delicious sprinkled liberally over french fries and No Bake Pizza Bread, or for a quick tasty snack try it on top of tomato and avocado on Vogels toast.

This salt can be added to anything which would benefit from a bit of garlicky herb flavour and the lavender will give the dish a lovely colour.

It stores well for a couple of months in a well sealed glass jar.

Herbed Lavender Salt

500g sea salt

4 heaped Tbs of fresh rosemary

4 heaped Tbs of fresh thyme

2 heaped Tbs of fresh marjoram or oregano

1 heaped Tbs of lavender (optional)

12 peeled garlic cloves

Process the herbs and garlic until finely chopped. Mix with salt in a large bowl and let stand for 24 hours at room temperature to dry out (the smell in your kitchen is amazing!) Place in an airtight container.
